Doesn't he know that our "seafood" industry is facing some serious declines and have been flucuating high and low for the last 20 years????? He needs to do his homework.

What 'serious declines' are you referring to? Declines in availability of processors? Declines in qualified fabricators/welders? What is meant by "seafood" in quotations? What has been flucuating "high and low" for "20 years"? Noting your sources of information would help us track your comments as well to ensure that we're all lookin' at the same sheet of music. Thanks.
Last I checked fisheries were cyclical... causes fluctuations.

Serious decline? Let's see, record halibut prices, record crab prices, Salmon prices have been rising for years. P-Cod price isn't as high as a few years ago but certainly good. Boat and permit value have risen, fuel is lower. That said yes, we have struggled a bit on Pollock and PWS seine was slow. But that is the nature of this business. There are no guarantees. The smart guys understand this and capitalize on it. I fully expect comments from the less intelligent.
