High-seas save

A U.S. Coast Guard helicopter crew today hoisted a man with chest pains off the icy deck of the 150-foot factory longliner Alaskan Leader about 265 miles northwest of St. Paul Island.

Chad Smith, 40, was medevaced to St. Paul and then to an Anchorage hospital.

Here's some Coast Guard video of the Alaskan Leader crew preparing the patient for the hoist.
