A new survey indicates Bristol Bay processors will have more than enough capacity to handle this year's projected sockeye harvest.

They have said that every year yet we all know they can't handle it. The question should be what about last year? Capacity report said they could handle it yet? Possibly they should ask some Peter Pan fisherman how that worked out. Or maybe look at the year prior? Or the year before that? And the year before that? We could go on and on here. State of Alaska has totally been a failure in this regard, what ever happen to the price negotiations? And the state doesn't think 1/3 of the fisherman think the price was wrong last year? All these reports and statutes have not been followed by the state. We are also at fault for we have organizations that could push these issues yet poor leadership has been nowhere to be found when it comes to these matters.
bring in a foreign buyer - got a couple of those boats ready to go if the seattle and Japanese based buyers can't get their act together. if fishermen want a new buyer - call walker up and demand a foreign buyer - they pay cash .btw. don't fool yourself; be prepared to go on a limit.
