Kevin Adams has been elected chairman of the board for the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute.
He takes over for Joe Bundrant, an executive with Trident Seafoods Corp. Bundrant will continue as a board member.
The ASMI board has seven members appointed by the governor. Five seats are reserved for processors, and two for commercial fishermen.
Adams has been on the board since 2004, when he was appointed to a harvester seat. He is a Bristol Bay salmon drift gillnet permit holder.

Fishermen might not be the best on a board. They are the best at the helm of a boat.
Don't worry, if the ASMI machine let him be at the top, he's a good boy.
Fishermen? There's not a limited entry permit holder on the asmi board!
Kevin will do a fine job as chairman, he will do everything he can to promote Alaska's Seafood. He will continue to keep Alaska fisherman as the number one priority.

10:04, what are you smoking?
The marketing sector of Alaska Fisheries is a 'one for all, all for one' monster while ignoring the subsistence sector of Alaska which is just about everybody that loves seafood and want to be able to subsist off of the resource that belongs to the them as outlined in the Constitution.
