The U.S. Coast Guard conducted another helicopter medevac today, this time off the factory trawler Northern Hawk southeast of St. Paul.
A 57-year-old crewman reportedly experiencing cardiac problems was safely hoisted and delivered to St. Paul at 6:40 p.m., the Coast Guard said.

...Nothing like SLAPPING OUT the Bridles and MAIN WIRE CABLES FULL SPEED in HEAVY SEAS.Cables flying out kinked up and whipping around.....Save the Safety of the Deck Crew...You can be standing out of harm's way...Yet,HELL have No FURY when the Fishmaster, All of a Sudden sees fish sign!..Maybe start further out on your drop!....Get off the effing Steriods Cappy, and maybe inspect the cables yourself once in a while!...like all Prudent Mariners should!...I remember that night when that main wire recoiled 2 ft. away from my head, and took out the control shack 90 ft. away....not a good feeling brotha!...and if you put new cables on your rig...make damn sure you replace the 10 year old door chains as well.... another fine example they set...
