That's nice. No mea culpa.

Quite a summary! No mention whatsoever that that only 5600 tons of a quota of over 13,000 tons was harvested. Can anyone explain what is happening to this fishery. The miles of spawn deposition does not seem to equate to a healthy fishery. last year the quota was nearly 30,000 tons and the harvest was around 13,000 tons. Is it just a management issue when no where near the quota is harvested? Or is it possible that there are just not that many herring? Are we facing a real problem? I am sure that Rob Z. or Bobby T can shed some light on this subject. Help!

It's obvious that the state cannot manage our resources for the commercial sector anymore.

Give it up.

It's because a whole bunch of crazies aka herring seiners control a single biologist by screaming obscentities at the low-life before and after the short herring kill.

In otherwords, the fishermen are bullying the biologist.

Bullying is a problem in our state. Men and women alike are pushing their weight around as if it's the right way to behave. Not.
