Alaska Troll caught Chinook salmon have been available this year since January 1 keeping the market supplied and interested.
Prices have been the best I remember for April with prices holding at $9.00 and above until May 1.
I hope it goes well for the Copper River fishermen. Chinook have been scarce in SE this winter.

Chinook will become even more scarce all over Alaska.

Lowering the escapement goals will only lead the species onto the Endangered List.

It is hard to catch those kings when all the areas they are traditionally caught in are closed, so take that into account when looking at catch figures

River guides with high dollar clients back-bouncing for kings through spawning beds are much more important than escapement protection or commercial fishing, don't you know nothing?
