Mark your calendars

The organizers of Pacific Marine Expo, the big Seattle trade show, today announced dates and times for this year's event, and they're kinda different.

"This year's show will follow a new schedule pattern," a press release said, with the show floor opening as follows:

• Wednesday, Nov. 20, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
• Thursday, Nov. 21, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Friday, Nov. 22, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

These show hours are ridiculous. Just a money grab from a crappy company that doesn't care about the exhibitors and visitors.

New schedule pattern is terrible. Not enough advance notice. Attendees won't know of the schedule change just like last year.

Whoever decided this PME schedule should lose their job. The old hours were fine. The show has been dying the last few years. Heck, 2020 was its best year. Hopefully it will be canceled next year.

I'm not making excuses, but it's generally scheduled around when the games for the Seahawks land. Then they navigate it with other major shows like the International WorkBoat Show. I think they should take a look at the new convention center and the Seahawks schedule would no longer be an issue and it could be held the same days every year.
