Grapevine

Deckboss hears reliably that the governor has appointed Frank Homan to the Commercial Fisheries Entry Commission. Homan has served previously on the three-member commission, which issues fishing permits and vessel licenses.

We also hear Matt Luck, of Ketchum, Idaho, has resigned from the board of the Bristol Bay Regional Seafood Development Association.

Thoughtful, intelligent, even-keeled, and with experience most of us could only dream of gaining, Frank Homan is a valuable Alaskan asset. This is a great appointment and I'm glad to hear this. But I've got to ask, what happened to his retirement?!

Matt Luck's resignation will hurt this organization. He was no benchwarmer, which is more than can be said for a few of the other folks around the table

Heyano should pump the bilge once in a while to avoid stuff like this.
