This is interesting — all the fishermen who fish for Silver Bay who say we have to stop the evil trawlers and here they are dealing in trawl fish. So please stop the holier-than-thou, who should be allowed to fish and who shouldn't be allowed to fish. You know the environmentalists love it when they can get real commercial fishermen to complain about trawlers.
Yup. The folks at SalmonState (who call fisheries management colonialist and want to turn everyone into setnetting direct marketers) are the only ones that benefit financially from the infighting. Their director probably makes over $400K a year pushing hate and misinformation.
What kind of trawling is the question — midwater pollock trawling or hard-on-bottom trawling. Bottom trawling is much more destructive and less selective. I've done both.
