The NY Times is paywalled. Wish I could've read it. The video was professionally produced, but lacks the detail and nuance that frames this debate; for example, let's talk about the genetic composition of the chinook and chum bycatch in the Bering Sea and Gulf of Alaska (i.e., let's shut down the biggest fishery in the USA and - based on the facts - it would not make a meaningful difference to the subsistence and commercial fishermen in West Alaska.
