The crew of the U.S. Coast Guard cutter Anacapa opened fire today on the Ryou-Un Maru, sinking her in 6,072 feet of water 180 miles off the Southeast Alaska coast.
But at $440 a ton, one would think Obama and Begich could build quite a few Chevy Volt's out of it.
Of course it always depends on the meaning of the term derelict, which in Alaska as everyone is well aware, describes a fully crewed, lit up fishing vessel, with a 911 call into Kodiak, including flashing satellite signal, and, never a 440 shell, required.
It took 440 shells to take it down.
