Fuglvog update

So, Deckboss attended the court hearing and frankly it was a pretty dull half-hour.

As expected, Arne Fuglvog pled guilty to the fishing violation, and Judge H. Russel Holland accepted the plea.

The judge then penciled in Nov. 18 for sentencing.

A handful of reporters attended, folks I'm sure would have been elsewhere had the defendant merely been a fisherman and not an ex-aide to a U.S. senator.

don't forget the sealed amendment which is very suspicious in nature, we not only have a fish thief but odds are he falsified his original issue IFQ. Now he cuts a deal inside a deal which I bet rats out his inside friends. Whats lower? thief and liar or a rat? What is really sad is this type of low life implicates innocent people to get himself off, and judges and juries believe these liars. the whole NOAO enforcement thing stinks and this is an example, the guy at the top gets off and the crewmen get screwed. those quotas shares should go back into the ocean. Yah Wesley, where's mention of the secret adendum? Just because you were bored for a half hour doesn't mean you should ignore the most interesting part of the proceedings?

We can only hope he's ratting out the old UFA gang. And Ben Stevens. It's BS he hasn't been charged with anything.

Charged with what? Do you know something the feds don't? They have worked for years to find evidence.

Accepting bribes. Didn't that one veco dude give him bribes?

When you say "veco dude" I assume you are referring to Rick Smith? Yes, Veco dude did claim he bribed Ben Stevens. One thing we do know is Veco dude is also a convicted felon. In fact the feds questioned both veco dudes, Bill Allen and Rick Smith regarding Ben Stevens alleged bribes. They found no proof. Federal authorities investigated Stevens for several years. They raided his home, his office and confiscated his computer. They have found no evidence of illegal activity. It's comforting to know citizens in this country are still innocent until proven guilty.

Did they check under his mattress for stacks of cash?

Perhaps..But I don't believe storing cash under ones mattress is illegal. However, you might check with your attorney.

He owned more than 2.5 million in quota share before his 07 divorce.

Has anyone followed the money or determined why the US Attorney did not go after this asset class or his boat when he was being investigated before 07.

Was it negligence or just skullduggery by his cronies that protected him from loosing his fortune.
