Sitka herring — hurry up and wait

Sounds like they're holding out for riper roe before unleashing the seine fleet in Sitka Sound.

Here's the latest Department of Fish and Game update.

I understand they were on strike yesterday. Offer of $300 per ton. Today apparently, no more strike but still waiting for more mature roe.

Who cares about sitka...Toxic-contaminated Aleutian Cod is paying .23 a lb. out west...Raise the TAC and catch them all, before all the marine mammals go extinct...Cumon Wes...isn't that how it's said down south?....Paddle quietly, don't want the boys with the banjos to here ya....alot of them guys out west...whatchyerass...lol
