Bristol Bay's big year

The commercial harvest of 40.4 million sockeye salmon was the fifth-largest harvest on record, says this season summary from the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.

Why isn't anybody talking about the young fish that came back early that should still be in the ocean that would normally come back in a year or two? The future runs are in question.
