Vessel registration fix

State Rep. Louise Stutes, R-Kodiak, has filed House Bill 185 to exempt commercial fishing boats from a 2018 law requiring they be registered with the Alaska Division of Motor Vehicles.

I assume that the requirement for a state issued title of ownership for undocumented vessels over 24ft would remain in the regulation? I received a state issued title for my state registered commercial vessel this winter when I renewed my state registration, which I think is a good thing.
