An even grand

This year's Alaska Permanent Fund dividend amount is $1,000, with payments to go out starting Oct. 2.

Last year's dividend was $1,702.

After Norway copied Alaska's Permanent Fund programming 1996, they now have $2 trillion in it, and as such, have no debt problem. With gold at $3,800, maybe Alaska should find out what Frederick Trump was doing up North, after leaving Seattle for the Gold Rush!

Norway produces way more oil and they keep all of the money. Norway is much more fiscally responsible, focusing on saving vs Alaska spending on it's immediate needs.
