Sullivan talks fish

Alaska's junior U.S. senator, Dan Sullivan, yesterday addressed the Alaska Legislature. His written remarks include a two-part section on fish.

The message is incoherent and superficial. Dan takes issue with the federal government as an absentee landlord and Alaska's beggar status with the feds. But then he demands federal money for fishermen. He also gets into the Russia fish issue, which even if we get it fixed won't do much to solve our fishery problems.

On fisheries Dan is weak.
