Nice to see that the federal government will underwrite all the fisheries now. Government handouts are the best way to build a robust industry.
$30B a year to farmers, under $30M to fisheries.
$37 trillion in debt.
How about Trump takes a few less $5 million golf trips to Mar-a-Lago and we continue helping fishermen?
It cost $50 million to get Obama to Dillingham, to watch him catch a couple spawned out silvers. I'd vote for the golfer any day of the week, instead of a guy that didn't show up until the game was over a month earlier.
Mismanagement is not a federal Issue.
Pro-Trump commenters? Are you guys confident all this trade war and disruption of global economies is going to be good for commercial fishermen? Why?
Really 5:10, so you believe that fishing for the lowest inflation adjusted prices in 125 years in Alaska isn't a problem? A 25% tariff on 62% of the farmed salmon sold in the USA from Canada must be bad for commercial fishermen? Why? Another real question is, do you have a new aluminum jetboat built with Canadian aluminum? Alcoa is all pissed off, after shutting down Cherry Point, and running their Canadian plant in Ontario full steam. The rest of America's aluminum producers love Trump. How's that Build Back Better program working out for the pro-Harris gang? With Northline Seafoods freezing reds in the round? Nobody in their right mind freezes salmon in the round, unless it's for pet food.
