Much as I disdain this waste, the Amendment 80 trawlers were again over on their rockfish catches for 2024 in the Aleutians, as they are seemingly every year — 193 metric tons for "other rockfish" and 258 mt of rougheye rockfish in the Central and Western AI areas. Quite a bit more volume than the dastardly discards in PWS with no negative ramifications.
