The Bristol Bay Regional Seafood Development Association has contracted with Barry Collier, the former CEO of processor Peter Pan, to "advise on industry and global market initiatives."
Great decision by the BBRSDA board. Barry is a class act and will unite the harvesters, processors and state of Alaska. Unlike his predecessor who drove a wedge between harvesters and processors. The role of an RSDA is to PROMOTE the features, advantages and benefits of a region. Barry will do much better than Andy!!!
Peter Pan may not have made big profits under Maruha/Barry, but at least they were not the basket case with big losses that they are now. The people managing the processing companies today add up to a big clown car.

ReplyDeleteGreat job BBRSDA BoD.
Peter Pan would have been better served to keep Barry on as CEO. Maybe they wouldn't be in the dire straits they now find themselves in.
ReplyDeleteAnd, Nichiro sold Peter Pan for a song, dance and tax write-off. Barry will fit right in, from one nonprofit to another.
