The latest landings report posted today by the International Pacific Halibut Commission shows the commercial fishery in Area 3A (Central Gulf of Alaska) has landed 96 percent of the quota, while the commercial fishery in Area 2C (Southeast Alaska) has landed 93 percent.
The price was garbage. It would have been nice if more fish was left in the water this year.

ReplyDeleteLeave the fish in the water to preserve the premium price we receive for our product and increase the biomass in the ocean. I am sure some guys have payments to make and don't have the luxury to skip a year.
