It's on at Togiak

The Togiak sac roe herring fishery will open at 6 p.m. today.

Here's the official announcement from the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.

The industry has another huge quota this year at 28,782 tons.

    what a shame no market no price yet they fish!no wonder the birds are dieing off in the winter up there!

    841 AM......boats are right to fish. Quota will be way undercaught. Market value could go up big and so could fish price. SBS boats could be big winners as they will get a fair shake.
