Walker likes for Hull, Mezirow for council

Alaska Gov. Bill Walker has nominated Dan Hull for another term and Andy Mezirow as a new member on the North Pacific Fishery Management Council.

  1. Well googling Andy Mezirow brings up "One of Alaska’s best-known saltwater captains, Andy Mezirow owns and operates Crackerjack Sportfishing Charters in Seward, Alaska. During the cold months, he spends his time living and fishing off Kona."
    Looks like the sport fish lobby wins again...

  2. Ive known Andy Mezirow for over 20 years. He is dedicated to making the best decisions regarding Alaska's fisheries. In regards to Hawaii, everyone needs a vacation, and that's all it is.

    1. Another KRSA operative from Seward. The Godfather Penney must have ok'd it. Dersham was his lieutenant from the BOF, adf&g and council. Mezirow interview years ago admitted his relationship with anti commercial fishing members.

  6. 7:29 You obviously don't get out much and aren't involved in fisheries management. On the NPFMC advisory panel Andy has always shown to be well informed, fair, and willing to discuss issues relating to both sport and commercial fisheries to come to a reasonable resolution.
