Hatchery fish have assistance being hatched , but they spend the majority of their life in the wilds of the deep blue, pristine Pacific where they must forage for food in the marine enviroment, unlike farm fish that live their life in a pen, with all their feces , and other waste product. Often creating an environmental disaster.They are fed pellets, sometimes they give farm fish growth hormones and often they add color, 3 lbs. of wild fish must die to make 1 lb. of farmed fish.
When is Walmart going to go to bat for the consumer to demand that all "Alaskan" brand are iced and bled? You know, so product quality can be monitored and guaranteed?
