The atseaprocessors association is also highly appreciative of all the people up and down river who made great sacrifices this year by not harvesting food so that the pollock draggers can keep pretending their fishery is sustainable during the low value B season. They'll stand down with the dragging about November.
The Pollock Fishery need to do their share to save the king salmon as well. Subsistence fishers on the Yukon and Kusko Rivers don't get bennies like they do. The balance is off and the poor people are hurting.
