This is a huge waste of the ADF&G resources. It must have cost in the tens of thousands of dollars to produce, print, and distribute this paper which is nothing more than a promotion by the Dept. to make it look to the public like something meaningful is being done to get the Chinook stocks back. And this at a time when the budgets of the Dept have been cut. What was Director Swanton thinking when he came up with this brainchild? All of this money was spent on this useless paper, when it could have been spent on a couple of fish weirs or to staff them in the ND. And, take a look at Nicole's aricle making it appear that by catch is under control and not amounting to anything to speak of. This "aren't we great" newspaper will not fly. The public knows what is going on and it is fed up with excuses and bad management decisions.
