Another decent herring haul at Sitka

Sunday's opener at Sitka, the second of the season, produced an estimated 5,000 tons of herring.

Total harvest to date is now about 10,300 tons, the Department of Fish and Game says.

That's well over half the preseason quota of 16,333 tons.

Taking baitfish to extinction for $150/ton makes a lot of sense!! Congrats to the state of AK!!

Isn't that the same price for concrete shoes on the cheap; at $150.00 a yard?

You gotta love it, with King Salmon at $20,000.00 a ton, but you know what they say about education funding today.

Home Economics, shown best in every SEAS meeting today!
