Abandon ship!

Michael Hand, running a tender at Sitka, shot this awesome video of the seiner Infinite Grace's scary moment in Friday's herring opener.

looks like frigging WWII footage.

how long do you sitka guys think the general public will let you get away with this.

time to ratchet this fishery down a notch and make sense of the 'harvest' of this public resource

for those sitka guys who fought against equal split the last couple times, how's that permit price holding up for you.

looks like fun

but a fishery?

an investment?

No big shock after seeing how flat bottomed that thing is.
Another Ray Wadsworth "invention"

Wouldn't it make more sense to fish with half the boats for twice as long and pay the deckhands on the tenders and catchers twice as much?

P.S.
Could run half the RPMs if they weren't racing.

She looks like she was running light. Was she hauling back with empty holds with a tender nearby?

The YouTube title says they lost the set. Is that true? The vid and other pics I've seen show it flanked by two tenders later on...pumping, apparently.

They lost the set. Didn't get a single fish out of it.

Having fished on a "Wadsworth invention" boat, all that I can say is they must have been dry. And please correct me if I am wrong, but isn't that an updated little hoquiam Hull? Please correct me if I am wrong-i only admired from afar as it was parked in Kodiak last summer.

Ray Wadsworth here, it isn't a vessel of my design, but it is a beautiful boat, my newest boat was there, it is the liahona. Just wanted to set it straight. Ray
