United Fishermen of Alaska, the state's top commercial fishing trade group, has again endorsed the re-election bid of Republican U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski.
UFA initially backed Murkowski prior to her primary loss to Joe Miller.
a group can only send the endorsement announcement to it's dues paying members.
a PAC can announce, etc etc., but most fish folk in the state are too cheap to give pac money.
UFA typically raises around 40% of it's pac money from southeast and typically (in 2002-04-06-08) raises about 25% of the only other fish pac in the state SEASPAC.

Wes. Call the office and find out some of the reasons why as UFA cannot issue a press release on statewide races. The press has to ask the ?'s
And who are the names for Commiss. and Commfish Director.
Rumor has it that Cora Crome is a leading contender for Commiss.
And while she hasn't worked at ADFG- ever-- she would be a fantastic pick.

so to add, the pac can but generally doesn't have enough money left over after contributions to even announce the organizations endorsements.
