Didn't the board cut back on some early fishing inside? Wasn't the thought to get the Chinook into the river? Well, where are the Chinook? Last I heard that in spite of the rosy picture painted by the dept. the chinooks are not arriving in most places. SE Alaska Taku had very few caught by the comm fleet and the contest in Juneau produced none. If we keep up the good management we will soon not need as many employees in the dept, and the board will have far less resource to protect. Some protection so far, huh?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9188370370448778552.post-78579483853549490352012-05-21T15:01:17.952-08:002012-05-21T15:01:17.952-08:00I especially favor the oh-so-fat early sockeye run...I especially favor the oh-so-fat early sockeye run that battles its way up trecherous Mountain Slough, having to leap the foreboding Eyak outlet falls to seek out their Middle Arm spawning grounds. I can't imagine the fat reserves they must require for that three mile migration! Truly inspiring sizzle that's being sold!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9188370370448778552.post-60543710415768954412012-05-21T08:49:05.323-08:002012-05-21T08:49:05.323-08:00Wealth never disappears, it only shifts around.Wealth never disappears, it only shifts around.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9188370370448778552.post-54514913360827092952012-05-21T05:09:39.030-08:002012-05-21T05:09:39.030-08:00Only rich people can afford those high seafood pri...Only rich people can afford those high seafood prices.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9188370370448778552.post-74713034398400068782012-05-20T14:44:34.874-08:002012-05-20T14:44:34.874-08:00Escapement goals were met by the sonar. coastal tr...Escapement goals were met by the sonar. coastal troll kings off washington, are selling for $25 per lb in Los Angeles.
