A second commissioner for CFEC

The governor has appointed Tracy Welch, of Juneau, to the Alaska Commercial Fisheries Entry Commission.

CFEC now has a full complement of two commissioners, the other being Rick Green.

Presumably, this is the Tracy Welch still listed as executive director of United Fishermen of Alaska, the state's top commercial fishing organization.

Reading the Limited Entry Act's language seems quite Limited, after the voters enacted the concept. Those missing Optimum Number studies are classics, still working on them since 1972. Just like that "super exclusive" bullshit some washed out lawyer came up with so certain fisheries would have Unlimited Entry. It's quite the party at Glacier Avenue, where the ice machine's never broke down, but nothing else works with the limited areas of less intensive mental developement. The whole concept of economics in Alaska was erased, as long as you can get a State job, in anotherJuneau Swamp.
