Here's a statement we just received from Austin McDaniel, communications director for the Alaska Department of Public Safety:
"Yesterday, December 9, 2025, the Alaska Wildlife Troopers and federal law enforcement were conducting a search warrant service off East End Road outside of Homer related to an ongoing criminal investigation into alleged commercial fishing violations. Our investigation remains active and ongoing, and no criminal charges have been filed at this time."
