Memo says they will pursue wind generation since they get 40% credits in cash. Not mentioned is they will need to build both. They need backup power if the wind isn't blowing. They should have built hydroelectric for base load like Kodiak.
Ha ha ha! "If the wind isn't blowing"?!? Ha ha ha! Have you BEEN to Dutch Harbor?!?
Twenty years ago while having breakfast at Margaret Bay Café, overheard Clem Tillion chastising the Unalaska/Dutch Harbor politicians for not pursuing geothermal power generation from Mt. Makushin. Didn't want to pay a million to the guy who held the rights. Small thinkers, Clem was a visionary for sure.
