Congratulations, guys

Two Alaska fishermen, Dan Falvey of Sitka and Bill Webber Jr. of Cordova, are among National Fisherman magazine's 2011 Highliner Award winners.

Is this the same Dan Falvey that spent so much time and energy at the January 2011 IPHC meeting trying to explain how his hometown area 2C should be able to catch more fish then other areas because the IPHC and NPFMC staff must have it all wrong.....smart guy... but when it comes to his own turf he obviously lobbies his pocketbook! Reminds you of some of the NPFMC players

Isn't the next step after Highliner the Federal Penitentiary?

Fisheries aide to a congressman like ol' Fulvog was.

What a wonderful choice for another highliner from Sitka. From helping to sustain and share groundfish to inventing and sharing a better system to pump blood from salmon before freezing at sea Falvey has been an industry leader.
Come on, painting all highliners with the same brush because one was a crook is like saying all Alaska Republican legislators are crooks because several were convicted.
Wrong in both cases.

Drunky (Denby) Lloyd is now working as a fisheries analyst for Kodiak.

Wes how come you aren't reporting on this news???

Easy now. You've never had a drink?

Denby Lloyd is not working for Kodiak as a fisheries analyst. He is being considered for a position but no decision has been made.
